From Autumn to Winter with Tara A. Chadwick
For immediate release

Fort Lauderdale, FL.
The Fall season is always a busy time in Florida as it marks not only the start of the annual stretch of well loved winter holidays but also the beginning of the height of the arts, culture and tourism season here in the Sunshine State. After two years of precautious, arms length and virtual engagements due to pandemic health concerns, this autumn feels like it was the busiest on record. Coming out of a whirlwind world tour that started in Lee County last October and ended last week in Wynwood, visual and performance works of Tara A. Chadwick made stops in Hong Kong, Sydney, London, Zurich, Laguna Beach, Rome, Palma de Mallorca and the Milk of Dreams Venice Biennale along the way. Installation and performance work was manifested locally at Miami Beach Botanical Garden, Greenspace Miami, downtown Fort Lauderdale, Miramar and Everglades National Park. Collaborations are ongoing and developing. Follow and message me on instagram for invitations & inquiries!
Below are a few key highlights of the year in review:
- Upcoming intergenerational enrichment experience exploring winter science & celebrations at Sunset Lakes Community Center next Wednesday, December 21st at 10:30-11:30 am.
- Chono Thlee: Sparking a New Era in Seminole Art exhibition curated by Tara Chadwick on view through January 10th at History Fort Lauderdale.
- Digital art (custom limited edition prints available) on view last week in Wynwood during the 20th anniversary of Art Basel Miami Beach in Tara A. Chadwick at Artbox Project Miami (virtual tour).

Social Innovator in Broward County, FL Wins
Prestigious Innovation Fellowship
CoGenerate selects Tara Chadwick, founding director of the
Papalotl (Butterfly) Project for fellowship dedicated to groundbreaking
intergenerational solutions
Broward County, FL, October 20, 2022 -- CoGenerate
(formerly Encore.org) today announced that Tara Chadwick has been selected as
one of 15 Gen2Gen Innovation Fellows,
a group of the nation’s most talented innovators and entrepreneurs marshaling
their best ideas to create and scale intergenerational solutions.
Tara
Chadwick, a local artist and social innovator was selected from a field of more than 120 applicants.
Her project brings elders and children together to
share knowledge about food, health and urban farming through art and culture.
“I am honored and excited to join
CoGenerate in their third cohort of Innovation Fellows focused on strengthening
our practice of bringing people together across generations and geographies to
build knowledge through vibrant, intercultural experiences.” TChadwick
CoGenerate,
a nonprofit bridging generational divides, launched the fellowship to spur and
support new ways to bring older and younger people together to solve pressing
problems.
The
15 fellows selected, ranging in age from 27 to 75, are bridging generational
divides while also fighting for racial and environmental justice, empowering
immigrant communities, healing trauma, registering young people to vote,
reducing ageism and loneliness, and so much more.
“In these polarizing times, the Innovation Fellows
pull people together to seek solutions, build bridges across divides, and find
deeper connection in the process,” says CoGenerate Co-CEO Eunice Lin Nichols.
“We’re inspired by the urgency, creativity and impact of their work.”
Over the next nine months, fellows will meet with one
another and with experts who will help them advance their work. Each fellow
will receive $10,000 and the chance to present their ideas at a showcase taking
place in 2023.
The
Innovation Fellowship is funded by The Eisner Foundation, John Templeton
Foundation, the May & Stanley Smith Charitable Trust, and RRF Foundation

Last call to see Golden Promise in Rome.
Golden Promise juxtaposes the imminent occurrence of sea level rise with citizen science water monitoring, contemporary art, performance and non point source water pollution prevention in locations surrounding my neighborhood. At a time when we struggle to find joy, clarity, understanding and purpose, I continue my commitment to honor self, family and community through local interactions amplified globally. By sharing personal reflections, actions and experimentations, I hope to inspire friends, neighbors and strangers to take note of the beauty and responsibility we have in protecting nature. It is here that we find peace, nourishment and our blueprint to the future.
