Women's Club Kudos & Closing day reflections on virtually visiting Zurich.

Today marks closing day for my inaugural artistic presence at the Zurich main train station Swiss Art Expo... part of a year long  exploration of ways to broaden and deepen my art impact. The experience has been deeply gratifying, it has definitely made me want to come and visit in person. I have learned so much about the organization and process of engaging in an international exhibition with over 100 artists and curators. But the awareness that has developed most for me through all of this is the importance of detailed communication and outreach for both onsite and offsite audiences and artists.

My hope for expanding the geography of my art message was to see if I could use visual art as a way to inspire fellow human beings to notice, appreciate and take action in support of our land, air and water. Because in doing so, we also bring hope and wellness to ourselves and all the beings with whom we share this home called Earth. For more information about my #GoldenHour series, see Global Day of Climate Action collaboration.

Thank you so much Kaitlin Maier and American Women’s Club Zurich for coming to enjoy the #SwissArtExpo art party yesterday, and for sharing with me these photos that give a sense of how my work appeared within the historic Haupbanofplatz.

You can learn more about yesterday's art party or today's closing events at #swissartexpo on my Instagram page @wabigun.

Thank you again Kaitlin, American womens Club Zurich, and the amazing team @swissartexpo.

Next stop: a virtual contemporary performance at Medina Gallery, Rome September 16-29. Details will be posted soon at FB /wabigun.

Thank you all for your support!

Yours truly,
Tara A. Chadwick

Andrew 🌀 at 30 and Climate Action ART!

On this day 30 years ago, I had just stopped in at my parents' for a few days enroute from spending my third summer as an archaeology and museology intern at the Government of Belize's Department of Archeology. During the rest of the year, I worked as Visitor Services and Information Officer at the front desk of the Royal Ontario Museum, a part time job I started in high school. But this was my first time engaging in curatorial work planning, developing and implementing a travelling exhibition from rummaging cases, to choosing artifacts, to researching and writing label text, to safe handling and packaging (thank you John Morris, Teresa Batty and Paul Francisco) for long distance rustic travel over land and sea! The exhibiton was received with interest, enthusiasm and lots of questions at the San Pedro Sea and Air Festival.

Today, as I reflect on the wake of Hurricane Andrew this morning on the 3rd decade anniversary, I realize that the work we do to inspire, educate and motivate ourselves applies equally internally and externally. I chose to pursue an interest in cultural anthropology as a way to learn more about who I am, and that has led me to an understanding of my place and purpose in the world. These social and physical Sciences are all avenues of elucidation of our simple role as human beings on this living earth planet. Respect life. Take care of ourselves and each other. If you make a mess, clean it up. Learn from your mistakes. Be aware of your surroundings. Think for yourself.

Simple things to propel a life and a lifeform.

#Swissartexpo opens today Aug 24 and runs through Sunday, Aug 28 at the main train station event hall in Zurich, Switzerland.

Tara Chadwick Interview

We are into the last month of summer and the last few days of our extended participation of visual and performance art in Italy over the past five months since the opening day of the 59th Venice Biennale.

Matriarch will complete her Venice journey this Friday. Recently, I had a few moments to discuss my views and experiences with ITSLIQUID founder, Luca Curci.

I am grateful for this extraordinary experience of reaching my goal to dance with the world.

See you in Zurich!

Tara
